A huge congratulations to Mehak Chopra on successfully passing her PhD viva today! 🎉
Mehak did her PhD at the University of Galway under the supervision of Cathal Seoighe and Niamh Hynes and her research has advanced our understanding of the genetics and genomics of aortic aneurysms, making an important contribution to cardiovascular research.
Beyond her academic achievements, Mehak has been at the heart of the CRT student community in Galway, always bringing energy, enthusiasm and support to those around her. We’re also very grateful to her for representing her fellow students with great distinction as the student representative on the CRT Governance Committee.
Mehak is an exceptional researcher, colleague and ambassador for the programme and we wish her every success in her exciting journey ahead!
