ICBG 2023 – a resounding success!
The conference took place on the 4th and 5th Dec at the University of Galway with approx 120 attendees and all credit goes to the student organizing committee whose did absolutely stellar work!
There were 6 excellent keynote speakers, fantastic student oral presentations and lively poster sessions.
Although it was a lot of hard work the student organizing committee had a fantastic and insightful experience into what’s involved in organizing conferences that will be a great addition to their CV’s!

Everyone really enjoyed the conference and were impressed by the utterly professional organization and great Keynote presenters (and the lovely food definitely helped)!

Congratulations to the prize winners for best oral presentations (Helen Horkan, Emily Tinsley and Mehak Chopra) and best poster presentations ( Muhammad Zainul Arifin, Ashwini Shanmugam and Parisa Taheri) and a big thanks to the judges (Declan Bennett, Siobhan Cleary, Denis Shields, Lars Jermiin ) for all their hard work!
