Sarah was interviewed by the Irish Times for her thoughts on the future of genomics and how its going to impact our lives.
The article was part of Science Week where the theme for this year was “Choosing our Future”, and the various events, interviews and discussion materials aimed to make people consider the future we want and understand the role science can play in this.
Sarah’s interview in the Irish Times article “Looking to 2045 and a world full of exciting change” discussed the work she is doing in her PhD project, as well as the exciting times ahead where the application of genomics has the potential to impact all out lives, both in terms of healthcare and the economy and how scientists of the future will need good data analytical skills to understand the huge amounts of data being generated by new technologies.
