I graduated with a BSc (Honours) degree in Genetics from UCD in 2022. My thesis work focused on the additive effect of the double knock out of two genes implicated in the disease pathogenesis of hereditary spastic paraplegia.
I have a great interest in variation of the genome within humans and how that contributes to the development and progression of disease; my project focuses on this topic by investigating the role of modifier variants and their contribution towards disease severity in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
Outside of science, I have interests in music and art; I play three instruments and like to draw and paint.
