I graduated with a BSc. in Biotechnology from the University of Oviedo in 2021 and with a MSc. in Bioinformatics with a focus in Protein Structure and Drug Design from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2022. I am interested in the development and application of new machine learning methods for biochemistry with a particular emphasis on predicting protein and peptide properties and interactions.
My project focuses on developing foundational multi-modal representation learning models for proteins that can be used for both accelerating drug discovery and gaining a better understanding the physio-pathology of complex diseases. I am conducting this research both at UCD and IBM Research.
