I am a PhD Student apart of the Functional Genomics Group (FGG) in QUB. My project focuses on understanding the longitudinal impact of long-term treatment on gene expression on PDX models of Colorectal Cancer and Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma to understand treatment response: how this relates to underlying genetic and molecular sub-types and whether this information can be used to identify novel targetable vulnerabilities. With the long-term goal that this will help guide the development of new personalised therapies, either from novel or repurposed drugs, and help predict whether a patient will respond to therapy or not.
