I graduated from University College Dublin in 2020 with a BSc First-Class Honours in Genetics. My research interests lie in the use of next generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatic tools to study epigenetic dysregulation in complex diseases, particularly cancer. I am interested in investigating how this epigenetic dysregulation can be better understood in order to facilitate diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients. I am carrying out my PhD project with The Bracken Lab at The Smurfit Institute of Genetics in Trinity College Dublin. The title of my project is “Genetic Predisposition to Breast and Ovarian cancers – looking at the Irish Germline”
