I have recently completed a BSc in Mathematical Science in NUI Galway, achieving a first class honours. My final year project focused on investigating the various statistical methods currently used in the analysis of gene expression data, generated by different technologies. I am particularly interested in the development of new statistical and computational techniques to assist in the performance of accurate analyses of genomic data. I am excited to see how these methodologies can be employed to advance medicinal research, particularly in areas such as neuropsychiatry and cancer.
