The annual Computational Genomics and Systems Biology Symposium will be taking place online on the 3rd-4th of December 2020. This event is entirely organised by PhD students of the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology programme at University College Dublin (UCD) and the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Centre for Research Training (CRT) in Genomics Data Science PhD programme at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).
Registration is open from now until the 2nd of December 2020 and abstracts are being accepted until the 31st of October at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Q-mmgiUpuFLJdhKndlnYP-huUqm3Eq_3JsRC1djkDUI/viewform?edit_requested=true
The symposium is aimed primarily at current and prospective PhD students to showcase their research but Bioinformaticians and System Biologists of all levels are welcome to register and participate.
The symposium is split into two days with both days having distinct topics covering different areas of Genomics. There will be a mixture of short talks and virtual poster presentations throughout both days.
|Session||Topics on Day 1||Topics on Day 2|
|Morning||Human Health & Disease||Metagenomics, Agrigenomics & Microbial Genomics|
|Afternoon||Population Genomics & Evolution||Methods Development, Machine Learning & Systems Biology|
A list of guest Keynote Speakers can be found at the following link : https://cgsb-2020.webflow.io/#home .
