Well done to Rasha Shraim who was selected to participate in the opening session panel discussion with 4 Nobel laureates on “Diversity and Merits in Science”
The 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, dedicated to Physiology/Medicine, took place from 25–30 June 2023. 38 Nobel Laureates participated in this special event and they met more than 600 Young Scientists from all over the world to engage in fruitful discussions and inspiring encounters.
The Meeting opened with a panel discussion on “Diversity and Merits in Science” and Rasha was one of only 2 students selected to participate in this panel discussion. The panel consisted of 4 Nobel Laureates
The panel explored whether every talented scientist, regardless of their heritage, gender, socio-economic background, or country of origin, has equal access and support. Additionally, the discussion delved into whether the merits system adequately addresses biases and unequal opportunities in the scientific world.
