My undergraduate degree was in Medicine from NUI Galway in 2009. I went on to practice clinical medicine for a number of years. As my interest veered towards genomics and cancer research I enrolled and completed my Masters in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in 2020 at University College Cork. I am excited to be part of the SFI Centre for Research Training in Genomics Data Science programme and aim to gain a better understanding of transcriptomics in cancer.
