I graduated from NUI Galway in 2018 with a BSc in Biochemistry. I became interested in genomics during my final year project where I investigated gene-regulatory networks related to schizophrenia and cognition. I then graduated with a MSc in Biomedical Genomics in 2019. During my master’s project I developed an app that integrated clinical and genomic data to identify patient subgroups and biomarkers related to disease. I then completed an internship in the bioinformatics department at Genomics Medicine Ireland (now Genuity Science). My interests include psychiatric genomics, bioinformatics tool development and data visualisation.
