I graduated from University College Dublin in 2019 with a BSc Hons. in Genetics. Following this, I spent a year working as a research assistant with Prof. Ken Wolfe’s group, using CRISPR/Cas9 and phylogenetic analysis to study yeast genomes. For my PhD, I am interested in using bioinformatics methods to analyze omics datasets of relevance for treating diseases, particularly cancer. I find the recent explosion in genomic data fascinating, and I hope we can leverage it to better our understanding of health and disease.
